Living with Anxiety

If you find yourself struggling with excessive or uncontrollable worry, nervousness, restlessness, or other symptoms of anxiety, you are not alone.

Anxiety is the most common type of mental health issue in the United States, with up to 20% of people suffering from an anxiety disorder in any given year. Current treatments can help, but they aren’t always effective. That’s why we’re researching another potential option.

Introducing the Voyage and Panorama Clinical Trial

This study will help us learn more about the safety and effectiveness of a potential treatment for generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) in adults 18 to 74 years of age.

The study medicine, called DT120 (formerly MM120), contains a modified form of lysergide-D-tartrate, a psychedelic more commonly known as LSD. In previous clinical trials, the study medicine was found to be effective for reducing anxiety symptoms after a single dose. It is considered investigational because it has not been approved for use outside of clinical trials.

Who Can Participate?

This study may be an option if you are:

  • 18 to 74 years old
  • Experiencing symptoms of anxiety
  • Generally healthy or have stable chronic conditions
  • Willing to use a highly effective method of birth control throughout participation
  • Willing and able to stop medications and/or supplements affecting mood, as directed by the study doctor

There are other requirements for participation. A study team member will help determine if the Voyage and Panorama studies are right for you based on all participation criteria.

What to Expect

If the Voyage or Panorama study is a good fit for you, you will be assigned by chance to receive 1 dose of the study medicine or a placebo. The placebo looks like the study medicine but does not contain any active ingredients. You will not know what you have been assigned to receive.

After you take your dose, the study team will monitor you and provide support at the study site for a minimum of 8 hours. They will continue to check on your health and anxiety symptoms over the next 12 weeks.

After 12 weeks, you will continue in an open-label extension period (no placebo). During this period, you may receive up to 4 doses of the study medicine.

You will be in the study for about 56 weeks and will have about 19 visits with the study team. Some visits will be conducted remotely over the phone or computer.

There is no cost to participate. Additionally, reimbursement for study-related time and travel may be available.

You can choose to leave the study at any time, for any reason. Choosing not to participate in this study will not affect your future medical care.

Participation Matters

Before new medical treatments can be approved, they must first be tested in a series of clinical trials. By choosing to participate in this study, you will be playing an important role in the development of a potential new treatment for anxiety that may one day change lives, including your own.
